Dear HHDA Dance Family,
The situation of this global pandemic is ever changing making planning for anything further than 24-hours in advance seem arbitrary, which is quite hard to handle as a small business. We have been closely monitoring the daily updates from the province and Canada's public health officials and the studio will remain closed until such time that the province and city allows for indoor recreational studios to reopen.
We understand that this is a difficult time for everyone as COVID-19 is a fluid situation and we will keep you up to date and informed as best we can. With that said, please be ensured that your pre-authorized credit card/bank withdrawals will not be charged on April 1st for lessons. Until such time that the studio is open for classes once again we will not be charging you for monthly fees. For any family that has paid for April & May in advance or paid the full year at signup, we will work with you once we are back and running to provide a credit for lessons paid for but not received. The studio closure does not exonerate outstanding fees from September 1 2019 - March 14 2020 and these fees will still need to be collected. Please call and leave a message at the studio if you have outstanding fees and wish to pay some of your balance off during our closure.
As this situation drags on many will be having questions about our annual June recital. So do we! We are trying our best to stay positive that it will be able to run as planned however we need to take this day by day as COVID-19 plays out in our province and country.
We are extremely thankful for your support, understanding and encouragement during this time. As a small business in the Guelph community I am so proud of our HHDA family; I love seeing your posts of encouragement to others, teachers offering their assistant, dancers seeking out online classes (Miss Melissa has started posting at-home videos on our instagram page please be sure to check those out), and those bringing a smile to others faces.
Continue to follow us on Instagram and Facebook for updated and to stay connected. We miss you all!
Big hugs and lots of love,
Holly and the HHDA Team

After must deliberations and acting under provincial recommendations as well as following other schools & clubs in the area, the Holly Hughes Dance Academy will be closed March 15 - April 5, 2020 during this global pandemic. Currently we hope to resume classes as normal on Monday April 6, 2020 however please continue to check for more updates.
While there have been no cases of COVID-19 in Guelph at this time the risk is just too high. We could not imagine any one of our dance family getting sick.
To make up for the 2 lost weeks, classes will run as normal June 8-13 & June 15-20 AFTER our annual dance recital. We appreciate your understanding during this difficult time that the world is facing. We do not make these decisions lightly but ultimately we do so with your best interests in our hearts.
